Our BEGINNING

A college friendship nurtured by a shared passion for design and creation became the seedling for a dream to craft a brand of enduring keepsakes. After graduation, we began gradually piecing together a vision that felt uniquely us—intentional, focused on craftsmanship, and rooted in heritage. We did not want to create for the unsustainable pursuit of fleeting trends, and instead drew inspiration from our authentic lives—our stories, cultures, families, and the lives and loves that shaped us. The vision for Biti Bibi bloomed from a deep yearning for connection and the aspiration to encapsulate the essence of home into tangible objects that can be felt and shared. Biti Bibi was born from numerous late-night phone calls, shared meals, and countless sketches, ultimately launching with a 9-piece collection.

Behind the name

Biti Bibi was born from two lives and began with the names we were first loved by. Long before there was a brand, there were the childhood nicknames spoken softly by family—terms of endearment spoken in kitchens and across shared hallways, shaped by culture, affection, and the places we call home.

Biti comes from Emma Christine’s Bitty, a classic Southern nickname of endearment given to her as the youngest in her family. Bibi is a phonetic expression of Vivian’s childhood nickname, Viví, lovingly spoken by her Colombian family, where in Spanish, the “V” often softens into a gentle “B.”

Together, these names became more than a combination; they became a reflection of everything this brand was built to honor: family, memory, heritage, and the intimacy that shaped us. Biti Bibi is a name rooted in love and nostalgia, a thread that reminds us of where we come from and the stories we carry forward.
